Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) are all core skills shortage subjects which can be found within the Built Environment. It is critical that the UK can keep up and ensure there are sufficient numbers of students coming through in these subjects providing an adequate resource pool for the Built Environment Sector.
STEM in the Built Environment
We actively engage with regional STEM networks to enhance curriculum development and enthuse and motivate students to focus on STEM subjects.
We want to engage with businesses to build online resources for upskilling and re-training of their workforces as well as creating exciting STEM resources to be used within schools across the region encouraging a future generation of motivated and skilled STEM employees.
